The first day of bear camp is always the longest. So much anticipation and so getting people going in their routines. This year is special because we have so many first time bear hunters including a 14 year old, 2 sixteen year olds, and an 18 year old. This is our youngest hunter Ben, getting ready to go out on his first sit. We have a bear down in camp to break the ice and tomorrow is going to be another great day for us. superior

As we wake up and get ready in this opening morning, we’d like to show one of the bigger bears we’ve taken from years past. Here’s to a safe and successful hunt not just for our hunters, but for all those heading the forest, swamps, woods, corn fields, or wherever you’re hunting today. Here’s to hoping they’re all 500 pounders. superior

Sometimes as we are out baiting and running all over the forest, it’s good to just stop, take a breath, have a look, and be amazed that we are hunting in this place. There is so much wilderness where we hunt, that it can be overwhelming. superior

Baiting season is in full swing now. We are about a week away from the start of the hunt and are getting excited. This beautiful bear has taken over one of our baits and is showing up on camera a lot. Hoping he sticks around for the hunt. superior

More pics from the last card pull on the bear baits. This beautiful moose and nice bear were in the same spot within about a half hour of each other. I love how the wildlife share the spaces. superior

Out running baits and checking cameras and caught this bear standing up a couple of times. superior
