Tip Tuesday......Proper measuring for suit coverage.
There has been many questions asked on how to properly measure suit bottoms to ensure they meet the requirements for the stage. For those that compete in GBO and other natural federations that require to have 2/3 of the suit covering the glutes, it is important that you and your suit maker understand how to measure the suit. Below I have provided some illustrations of where and how to measure the bottoms. One of the common mistakes is the suit maker adds too much material all over the suit instead of in the seat area; which covers up a lot of the glutes which you work hard on. Furthermore the area needing the coverage is in the seat area. If you heard me speak on this topic before, it is important for judging purposes to see the development but for it to be tastefully done. Therefore proper measurement is key!!! On my illustrations and talking with some of my suit makers, 2.5 is the proper measurement considering the scrunching of the material. You will lose some of that with that effect giving you the required 2.3.
For shape girls depending on your development you may need the 3.5 to display the same coverage and effect. Which again I have given an illustration of the measurement and cut of a suit.
In addition, I have provided a side by side picture of what it possibly (everyone's glutes are different) looks like in a back pose.
I will post some helpful pictures for Figure suits as well so you can have a reference. As well as for bikini competitors competing in other federations.
As always I hope this is helpful information and if you have questions you are welcome to ask!!
