Prospect United Houston RTG Baseball Academy is a professionally run youth and high school baseball organization specializing in player development.

We play under team names "Prospect United Houston" RTG is a page for current and prospective competitive youth baseball players to stay up to date with the latest news, schedules, and events. If your son or anyone you know is interested in hitting, fielding or pitching lessons, please contact us. We also run teams through the Fall, Spring, and Summer seasons.

Simple bullpen concept but so big. We can also use this in the game. 0-0, pick the corner, you hit and go 0-1, pick it again. You get 0-2, go a ball off the plate. You miss 0-0 and go down 1-0, come in off the corner to that outer third. You miss again and go down 2-0, get a little closer to the middle and so on. Your bullpen must have a purpose that makes sense. This is easy and can be take into the game.

We fail as coaches not talking about bunting. Coaches don’t want to “waste” time on it or don’t know how to teach it. Bunting is all technique and feel. The right technique alone can make you a great bunter. The young players need to know why they bunt and how to do it.
1.) Square early
2.) Get to the front of the box
3.) Hands go up the bat
4.) Barrel at 2 o’clock
5.) Wide base, get down in the strike zone
6.) BUNT STRIKES

What a trip! 40 Prospect United HS players from Houston hit BP at OU on Friday, toured, practiced and played at Oklahoma City University on Saturday, and practiced and played on Sunday back at OU. 3-3 on unbelievable days with beautiful weather! Thank you to all of the parents and players who made the trip and to all of the coaches at the universities who helped change lives this past weekend!
