Greater Houston LULAC Loteria 5K Family Run/Walk The Greater Houston LULAC Lotería 5K Family Run/Walk, Saturday, March 8, 2014, will take placeat Mason Park 541 South 75th St, Houston, Texas.

The Greater Houston LULAC Lotería 5K Family Run/Walk (Saturday, March 8, 2014) is the first ever LULAC 5K in Houston. Race participants will be encouraged to dress up as their favorite Mexican Bingo characters. Finish line activities include healthy snacks, a health fair and exhibits featuring local public parks, bike trails and walkways. Objectives:

*Promote physical exercise among young people.



*Encourage outdoor family activities by highlighting public parks, bike trails and walkways.

*Educate Hispanic families about health support services and physical activity opportunities in their communities by featuring Zumba, Dance, Yoga demonstrations and inviting local gyms and city personnel to the health and wellness fair.

*Support healthy eating by offering samples of fresh fruit and demonstrations of simple snack recipes at the finish line.
