Z Junior Tennis Academy This unique junior tennis program is divided into two different levels – ages 10 and under, and ag We have the most successful Junior Program in the city.

The Junior Tennis Academy started at the Houston City Club in 2005 with only 12 kids. In 2015 the Junior Academy grew to a record number of 845 children. Our after school program had approximately 190 children registered. Our Academy is taught only by experienced and certified instructors. We put emphasis on proper technique and fun. cademy. Zezé is originally from Brazil where he started playing tennis at the age of 10 with his dad. Zeze played the juniors in Brazil and college tennis in Fort Pierce, Florida at Indian River Community College on a full tennis scholarship. For the past 18 years Zezé has been the Head of Junior and Player Development at the Houston City Club where he implemented and developed the junior program from very few kids to a record number of 845 children in the summer camp of 2015. During the school year the after shcool program had approximately 190 kids participating in group lessons and junior team tennis. In 2016 Zeze coached the City Club 10 and under junior team tennis to the Texas State Championship in Abilene, TX. It was the first title for a City Club junior tennis team.

Wrapping up an amazing Summer Camp season! 🎾☀️

One thing that makes Z Junior Tennis Academy different is how we structure our training. We intentionally keep our groups small and divide our players by age and level, allowing our coaches to give each player more attention, quality instruction, and the right level of challenge.

It’s all about creating an environment where players can learn, improve, and enjoy being on the court. 🎾

We loved seeing the progress, friendships, and great moments throughout the summer. 🩵🧡❤️

And now… we’re ready for the next chapter!

Do you love tennis and enjoy working with kids? We’d love to meet you!

Z Junior Tennis Academy is looking for an experienced, energetic, and passionate tennis coach to join our growing team at our River Oaks location.

We’re looking for someone who:
🎾 Has previous tennis coaching experience
🎾 Has a strong playing background (former college players preferred)
🎾 Enjoys coaching children ages 5–18
🎾 Is reliable, positive, and professional
🎾 Has reliable transportation
🎾 Is available weekday afternoons and/or Saturdays
🎾 PTR, RSPA (formerly USPTA), or equivalent certification is a plus, but not required

What you’ll do:
✅ Lead and assist junior group lessons
✅ Coach players of all ages and skill levels
✅ Help players improve technique, footwork, match play, and sportsmanship
✅ Create a fun, safe, and organized learning environment
✅ Be part of a team that truly loves developing young athletes

Another great week in the books! This week was full of hard work, smiles, new friendships, and lots of tennis. Watching our players grow in confidence and improve every day is what makes summer camp so rewarding.

Thank you to all of our amazing families for being part of the ZJTA community. ❤️

What a fantastic week of Summer Camp! Lots of smiles, learning, improvement, and fun on the courts. No matter what the weather threw at us, we stayed positive, adapted, and made it happen. Our players worked hard, supported each other, and continued building their tennis skills every day.

A huge thank you to all of our campers and families for being part of another successful week!
