I was in history class when we got the news of the Twin Towers and it changed my life in ways I wouldn't fully understand until 3 years later

I joined the Coast Guard on September 13th 2004 and it was fueled in some ways by the events of September 11th 2001.

I have many mixed and conflicted emotions and thoughts when I think back to that day and what came after, but I know for sure that the Patriotism for our values and our way of life and how many of us came together to do our part will never be forgotten

We lost many that day and have lost many since that day in part because of what occurred in New York City starting at 8:46 a.m. on September 11th 2001

Terrorism, Wars, ongoing conflict and diseases are never a good thing and can only have disastrous outcomes and I pray we continue to expand our capacity to find new and alternative routes to work together and live and flourish on this planet

These facts don't make it any easier to mourn a loved one or think back to all that happened and all that has happened because of those attacks.

Maybe we have the opportunity to be the change we wish to see in the world?

I send deep love and gratitude to all who responded on September 11th and I pray for those families who lost loved ones on this day and the days after due to these senseless and cruel acts

I live my life to the fullest sharing all of the love and support I can because I know many of those heroes didn't get this chance and I encourage you to do the same with your precious life

12 Years Ago a Dream Was Sparked

In San Diego among 40 other Fit Pros I found it

A profession and a community that only wanted to help

Help others thrive

Help others move pain free

Help others build strong minds and bodies

Help others have hope

Being a personal trainer, gym owner, coach or instructor is a heart centered profession when it comes from a healthy place

It takes an enormous amount of energy and empathy

The pay isn't ideal and the typical schedule is brutal 5 a.m. to 7-8 p.m. many days

BUT

The impact you can have is nearly immeasurable

Your clients believe in you and they learn from your example.

The motivation and the job satisfaction you get when you help someone learn to embrace and love their bodies and have the confidence to explore their world keeps us going.

As I prepare to present today at the SCW MANIA - Fitness Education Dallas Conference. I think back to those individuals who presented at the Todd Durkin 3.5 Day Mentorship in 2014 Greg Justice Brent Gallagher Travis Barnes John Heringer and many more I am missing who inspired me to believe

You never know how you are going to impact someone with what you share and that is what I carry in my heart today.

I aim to inspire someone to go and build something special for themselves and those they serve to make the world a healthier and happier place.

We need those willing to heal, grow and guide themselves, so they can do the same for others.

That is what we have done at TriFitness Gym because of the inspiration and motivation from our clients, our community and from others offering their own knowledge and expertise to inspire others.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of my journey offering their knowledge support and inspiration.

Know that we are still just getting started at TriFitness helping as many people as possible build hopeful and healthy minds, bodies and souls💪🏻
