Knowing what to do isn’t the problem. Actually following through consistently, that’s where most people get stuck. At Sky Therapeutics, we bridge that gap.

You’ll work directly with Dr. Tara Torres, DCN to identify the root cause of your symptoms and build a plan that’s realistic for your life, not something you’ll abandon in two weeks. But the difference isn’t just the plan. It’s the support behind it. Between visits, our team helps you:
• Review your food logs and adjust in real time
• Simplify meal planning and remove decision fatigue
• Stay accountable with consistent check-ins
• Navigate supplements and lifestyle changes with clarity

So you’re not left wondering if you’re doing it “right.” Because results don’t come from more information, they come from consistent, guided action.

We also make care accessible:
• HSA/FSA accepted
• Claims submitted for potential reimbursement
• Flexible payment options (Klarna & Affirm)

Collaborative physician care available when needed.

If you’re ready for a plan you can actually follow and support that helps you stick with it, book your discovery call here: https://l.bttr.to/zwBrM

Your immune system lives in your gut.

Roughly 70% of immune tissue is associated with the gut.

If you’re constantly sick, inflamed, or reactive, I look at:
• Microbiome diversity
• Vitamin D
• Zinc
• Protein intake
• Sleep

You cannot out-supplement a neglected gut.

Save this and follow for more science-backed immune support strategies.

Hi, I’m Dr. Tara Torres. I’m a Doctor of Clinical Nutrition, founder of Sky Therapeutics, celiac patient, and mom of a celiac patient. I help patients navigate gut, hormone, and chronic health concerns through functional nutrition and education, but I also understand many of these challenges personally. Living gluten-free is not just about avoiding bread. It is learning labels, preventing cross-contamination, navigating restaurants, supporting healing, and figuring out how to live well without fear or confusion. This page is where I share evidence-informed nutrition education, practical tools, and real conversations around gut health.

My new celiac education series starts now.

Whether you are newly diagnosed, suspect celiac, or simply want to understand gluten and gut health better, welcome.

Follow along and let me know below, how long have you been gluten-free?

If you need support, I’d be honored to work with you.

Magnesium: The Overlooked Mineral Behind Fatigue, Blood Sugar Imbalances, Stress, and Poor Sleep

Magnesium is increasingly discussed on social media for its potential health benefits, including improved sleep and reduced anxiety. As a crucial mineral involved in over 300 biochemical reactions, it aids in energy production, muscle function, nervous system regulation, and blood sugar balance. Many Americans fall short of daily magnesium intake, often due to poor dietary choices. While supplements can help, increasing magnesium through diet by consuming leafy greens, nuts, seeds, legumes, whole grains, and fatty fish is preferred. A comprehensive approach to health, including magnesium, is essential for overall well-being and effective management of various health issues....

Learn how magnesium supports energy, blood sugar balance, sleep, stress resilience, heart health, and overall metabolic function.

Think you don’t eat much sugar? You might be surprised.

Sugar appears on nutrition labels under dozens of different names, and many people consume far more added sugar than they realize. While sugar itself is a carbohydrate your body can use for energy, the source and amount make a big difference for metabolic health.

Some sugars occur naturally in whole foods like fruit, vegetables, and dairy. These foods also provide fiber, vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients that support overall health.

Added sugars are different. These are sugars incorporated during processing or preparation and often show up on ingredient lists as things like high-fructose corn syrup, maltose, rice syrup, cane sugar, agave nectar, fruit juice concentrates, and many others.

The American Heart Association recommends limiting added sugar to:
• Women: no more than 6 teaspoons (24 g) per day
• Men: no more than 9 teaspoons (36 g) per day
• Children: less than 6 teaspoons per day

One of the most practical habits you can develop is simply reading ingredient labels. Look for “Added Sugars” on the Nutrition Facts panel and pay attention to ingredients ending in “-ose” or listed as syrups and concentrates.

Small changes can make a meaningful difference, like choosing whole fruit instead of fruit juice, plain yogurt instead of flavored versions, or oatmeal with fruit instead of sugary cereals.

Save this post so you can recognize hidden sugars the next time you're grocery shopping, and follow for more practical nutrition insights.

Could you have celiac disease?

Not everyone with celiac disease has dramatic digestive symptoms.

Some people experience:

• bloating
• constipation or diarrhea
• reflux
• fatigue
• iron deficiency
• headaches
• anxiety
• brain fog
• joint pain
• skin concerns
• infertility
• nutrient deficiencies

And some have few symptoms at all.

This is one reason diagnosis is often delayed.

As both a Doctor of Clinical Nutrition and a celiac patient myself, I want people to understand that symptoms deserve investigation, not dismissal.

And if celiac disease is suspected, please do not remove gluten before testing without discussing it with your healthcare provider.

Follow for more celiac education and gut health support.
