What really matters
The last 7 months have taught me a lot about the strength of women. I’ve realized that media doesn't really let on about how challenging pregnancy is.
A lot of instagram makes it look like a cake walk. Doing crossfit, keeping up with all of the habits you had prior to pregnancy, doing whatever other viral activity you may have seen. If that’s you, more power to you, and I respect that immensely.
But for the most part that’s not the case. It’s not easy, and it takes a lot of effort and communication to make it through the process successfully and on the same page. I’m grateful that Cecille and I have been able to do that, but if we didn’t communicate well, I could see issues arising.
I’ll keep this short and sweet, but this is just a showing of appreciation for everything that women go through during the process of bringing another person into this world.
Men, support your partner as well as you know how to. If you aren’t doing that, I really don’t know what to tell you.
And I'll also leave the disclaimer that no one goes through this experience perfectly, but with good intentions and effort I believe that you'll be alright
