I’m active but I’ve slipped into some not so great snacking habits. To help reinforce better choices, I’m back to tracking my food. I won’t do it endlessly, because it is a bit of a pain, I’ll admit, but the results are worthwhile. Here’s a reasonable primer if you want to learn more. I’m using the free version of MyFitnessPal - the library already contains HEB groceries I buy and El Rey tacos😉

Recently finished reading "Younger Next Year", by Chris Crowley and Henry Lodge, MD. It was written by men, for men and recommended to me by a male PT client - and I read it anyway (ha). Here are the "Rules" summarizing the book. If they resonate and you want more, grab a copy - you may learn a bit. If not, read the "cliff notes" and move on.

1. Exercise six days a week for the rest of your life.
2. Do serious aerobic exercise four days a week for the rest of your life.
3. Do serious strength training, with weights, two days a week for the rest of your life.
4. Spend less than you make.
5. Quit eating crap!
6. Care.
7. Connect and commit.
