Dear CrossFit family:

After 14 years, I’ve made the decision to close CrossFit EaDo.

I’m very proud of our box and the Houston CrossFit community as we all grew up together through the days of having to explain what CrossFit is, to doing handstands in every possible random location, to going to The Games to cheer on each other.

Locally, I’m very proud of our affiliates here in Houston being such a positive force in Fitness, opening doors for each other, and supporting one another through comps and various events.

Looking back, CrossFit EaDo was always meant to be a playground for CrossFitters, leading with innovation and cutting-edge equipment, always wanting the biggest and the best, to push the community to strive for bigger and better, and to be a place where innovation and change was always in the forefront.

From CrossFit EaDo, we opened Yoga EaDo that boasted 100+ members and had a special place in the community, as well my personal passion project, Texas Strength Weightlifting. I’m extremely proud of Texas Strength as we were able to shine a spotlight on weightlifting focused gyms that did not exist previously.

There are many things that I’m proud of from EaDo, but none more than the 22 marriages (maybe more?) that cultivated from our gym and parents blessed with children from those marriages! I’m the most blessed of all of course; as I met my wife at EaDo and we now have two beautiful little princesses running around filling our life with joy.

Thank you for all who allowed us to exist, thank you for all of our members who trusted us with their health and wellness, thank you to my gym managers Danny and Lisa who passionately cared for the gym, and thank you for the Houston CrossFit community who supported us in more ways than one.

However fear not, the rhythm of CrossFit EaDo will continue with the passing of the torch to Danny and Lisa who will be venturing into their own space. This intimate new space is located adjacent to EaDo in the center next door; where EaDo first began. The circle of life comes full circle.
