The Island Warriors are a diverse group of dedicated dragon boat fanatics that compete in different events throughout Houston and beyond. Founded in 2013, the IWs have achieved success at several dragon boat festivals and regattas in Houston and surrounding Texas areas. Team members have also competed far from home in Ca
lifornia, Louisiana, Montana, Oklahoma, Czech Republic, Poland, Puerto and the Philippines. The group aims to build camaraderie and teamwork as well as encourage a healthier and active lifestyle while promoting one of the world’s fastest growing watersport. Don't let their hardcore attitude fool you, they are one of the most fun-loving groups of athletes around!
