Big Piney June 14, 2026 600yd F Class match results

Our June match that was originally scheduled on Saturday 6/13/26 ended up being rained out, so we moved the match to Sunday 6/14/26. The weather was much better, with only a brief light shower, even though it was cloudy most of the day. The wind was pretty tricky. At various times duing the day it blew from nearly every direction, and was switchy at times. There was some very good, and very close shooting in spite of the wind with the top 3 shooters in Open tied with positions being determined by Creedmoor for the win, and X count for third, giving Harold Cole the win.

F/TR was not quite as close at the top with Shane Long taking the win by a solid 5 points, but second and third places were tied with X count breaking the tie.

Varmit/Tactical was even a bit more widely separated with Dana Reese winning by 6 points over Wendie.

We had two Junior shooters both of whom shot very well, and both of whom outshot the adult shooters! Lilly Becherer's 399/21X would have won Open had she not been shooting as a Junior, and Zayden Wiersema's 397/26X would have won the X Pot! It is always nice to see Junior shooters, and to see them shoot well.

Thanks to everyone who attended, everyone who helped set up and take down, and who helped run the match!

Hope to see everyone next month for our Championship match, which will be a 3 target (3X20) match, so bring extra ammo!

The rifle and handgun stages from today's 2-Gun match. It rained the entire time, and sometimes hard. My handgun had a dead trigger a few times and I'm not sure what happened with my rifle my first time through.

2-Gun is this coming Saturday (the 13th). Start time is 10:00 am. Round count is 50 rounds for the rifle and 30 rounds for the handgun. No green tip (or anything that has a penetrator) ammo is allowed. The entry fee is $25.00 and you can shoot the course as many times as you want. The match is rimfire friendly. We are also youth friendly, there is no age restriction. You can also shoot just the rifle or just the handgun stages twice for the cost of shooting the 2-gun course.
