The Point Turns 4 — And the Show Absolutely Went On
If anyone doubted whether The Point’s 4-Year Anniversary BD would happen, they clearly don’t know The Point.
The forecast threatened scattered showers… then upgraded to a 90% chance of heavy rain. There were murmurs. There were consultations with the town elders. There were discussions about rescheduling.
The unanimous verdict?
The show must go on.
And go on it did.
At 5:45 a.m., 54 Pax — including one brave FNG — began descending upon the Tallowood parking lot like clockwork. Two well-organized camps had been preparing for weeks.
On one side: Pitbull and his crew of misfits — Insane, Bandsaw, RX, Warthog, Lionheart, and Aardapel — rehearsed, primed, and pacing like chained dogs ready to be unleashed.
On the other: a logistics dream team — WhiteWater, Vector, Paddle, Bieber, Gladiator, PBS, and BlueScreen — armed with spreadsheets, sign-ups, sticky notes, and flow charts so detailed they probably accounted for the last sugar packet in the coffeeteria.
At exactly 6:30 a.m., the whistle blew. The disclaimer was disclaimed. The CPR Q was identified. Instructions were delivered with confidence to an enthusiastic and slightly rowdy crowd.
Then came the moment: one courageous FNG stepped forward, volunteering to sweat alongside 50 strangers before sunrise. A battle buddy was assigned, and the mumblechatter began in earnest.
The Pax split into three rotating stations:
Upper Body (Insane & Lionheart)
Lower Body (Bandsaw & Warthog)
Core/Cardio (RX & Aardapel)
Ten minutes per station. Two minutes to travel. No wasted motion.
After the final rotation, the group reassembled for what was advertised as a cool-down. Instead, Pitbull finally unleashed weeks of pent-up intensity in a rapid-fire cardio smoker that ensured no one coasted across the finish line.
At 7:30 sharp, time was called.
The Name-O-Rama was recorded.
The FNG was christened TraderJoe.
Gratitude was expressed.
And a personal milestone for BlueScreen was celebrated.
Four years in, The Point isn’t slowing down.
Rain or shine — the men show up. 👊
