Registration for the ISHL 2026-2027 Junior Varsity league is now OPEN!

Program details:
- Season: September - February.
- Weekly team practices: Bellerive (Tuesday evenings), Aerodrome (day TBD).
- Games: 18 in regular season plus 2 playoff games. Games will be played on Saturdays at Sugar Land (few games will be on Sundays at Bellerive).

JV league rules:
- Equal ice time during the games for all enrolled players.
- Non-checking games until the end of October, after that JV will be a checking league.
- No tryouts, but there will be players evaluation at the beginning of the season to ensure players skating level is safe to play.

Eligibility:
- Enrolled in grades 9-11th during 2026-2027 season.
- Not rostered on a travel hockey team (Jr Aeros, Outlaws).
* all female players in grades 9-12th, including travel players, can register for JV league;
* some male 12th graders may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Season fees:
- Early Bird Player Registration: $1000 (must register before 11:59pm on September 6)
- Regular Player Registration: $1200 (after 12:00am on September 7)
- Goalie Discount: 40% (discount applied at checkout)

Registration for the ISHL Varsity Select Apollos tryouts / evaluations is now open!
August 30, 1:20 pm (Please note the updated time - 1:20 pm!)
Bellerive Ice.
(date and time for the second evaluation will be determined later and communicated to the invited players)

No fee to attend the Apollos evaluations but registration is required.
Additional information as to schedule and program fees will be available after evaluations are complete.

ISHL Varsity Apollos is a program for registered ISHL Varsity players and goalies with more advanced skills who are not rostered on a travel hockey team in 2026-27 but want more rigorous training and tournament experience.

Eligibility:
- Registered ISHL Varsity players and goalies in grades 9th through 12th.
- Not rostered on any travel hockey teams in the 2026-2027 season (*female travel players on DSE or Storm travel teams can sign up for evaluations).

Program highlights:
-Weekly practices / scrimmages.
-Two tournaments in Dallas.

Together, we strive to make an impact in Houston hockey!

This week, Hockey Day In Houston 2026 received a $10,000 grow a sport grant, to be used as part of the $25,000 matching donation from The Howe Foundation, as we showcased the organizations that have come together through a grassroots fan fest!

Although, this event was never about raising money, the impact that the Howe family has provided to create new initiatives in Houston will never be forgotten!
