This is Alice
I rescued Alice about 2 years ago and absolute starved and neglected mare from a herd of horses whose owner had health problems and could no longer care for them and hadn't been feeding them.
She was a skeleton!!
I have her pictures from the first week I had her and will repost those at some time for comparison.
When I first got her she wouldn't pick up her feet or let you touch her ears but she did love to be brushed and washed.
Now she loves to have her ears rubbed picks her feet up willingly and you can do anything with her pull on her tail Pat her all over and she has no fussiness at all!?π
She absolutely Love Love Loves to be brushed and pet, not to mention carrot and apple snacksπ₯°ππ
Since I've had her she has been fed quality feed played with a little groomed and loved on and just lived in the pasture very very peacefully with the other horses.
She feels great and will run with you if you start running she likes to run beside you (when it's not too hot LOL π)
And she would just make a great overall pet.
She is an older mare, and I love her very much and so I'm only willing to let very light people sit on her or ride her I have been on her ba****ck in a halter and lead rope and she is very safe and very willing and moves off leg.
I believe she would make a very great very small child or very very small woman's walk about horse for gentle riding.
There is the possibility that if she got a little fit you might be able to trot her about some but I would not advertise her as a horse that is going to be for strenuous use at all and I will not rehome her to someone who wants to do more strenuous riding.
I am searching for the perfect family match for her.
A very small lady or some very small children who only want gentle and easy riding experiences and mostly to have a big pet.
She is for "adoption" only.
The perspective adopter will be vetted and verified not to be a horse flipper.
So I'm going to be very picky about adopting her out.
Also I would be willing to lease her on a month to month basis if anyone is interested and would like to try her that way.
That would be an inexpensive way for someone to have a bit of the horse experience without going all in also.
If anyone is interested in the sweet sweet mare as a new addition to your family for your children or grandchildren or for you to have a pet and get some quality peaceful outdoor time and have your own horse to spend time with to train for Liberty work and for dental trail rides, please contact me for further information π
