Job Description:
We are looking to hire an experienced swim instructor to help with babies and toddlers to develop proper swimming techniques and life saving skills. To be a successful swim instructor, you should demonstrate patience and enthusiasm and to be able to motivate students to accomplish their swimming goals. Ultimately, an exceptional swim instructor should be able to communicate effectively with students and ensure that all water safety rules are adhered to. Our swim school specializes in younger swimmers and have very advanced skills. We are looking for the right person to take on our advanced swimmers and transition them all the way to stroke development.
Swim instructor responsibilities:
* Teaching swim float swim to younger swimmers that have completed the Infant Aquatics survival swim program
* Teaching stroke development to more experienced swimmers to enhance their swimming abilities.
* Assessing the progress of students and adjusting teaching programs accordingly.
* Implementing ground rules for each swim session
* Planning swimming lessons that take into account students’ abilities and progressive development.
* Identifying incorrect swimming techniques and correcting accordingly.
Swim instructor requirements
* High school diploma or GED
* Proven experience working as a swim instructor
* CPR, First Aid, and American Red Cross Safety Instructor or Basic swim instructor certifications
* Sound knowledge of proper swimming techniques and water safety rules
* Strong swimming abilities
* Excellent conflict resolution skills
* Effective communication skills
* Passionate and enthusiastic
Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Internship
Salary: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Business hours are Monday to Friday 9:30-5
