The HBCU Movement

The HBCU Movement The HBCU Movement is the first professional basketball team featuring all HBCU Athletes. Who is HBCU Movement? The NBL merged with the BAA in 1946.

The HBCU Movement; is a Texas based, for profit LLC Minor Professional Basketball Team that affords professional players, coaches, and executives’ opportunities not often available at the minor-league level. The NBL was founded in 1937 as a United States Professional Basketball league with 11 teams. The BAA became the NBA. The league was revived in 2019 and will experience exponential growth going

into the 2022 season with 12 teams. HBCU Movement Mission Statement: “To teach, develop, and expose basketball players to NBA, NBGL, and International scouts while providing the local community an exciting brand of basketball and entertainment.”

The HBCU Movement is Based in Houston, Texas.
