What an Awesome experience we had at the Red, White & Blue PGF Diamonds Legacy Tournament in Bentonville, AR this past weekend. We faced strong, competitive teams from Arkansas, Kansas City, Oklahoma, and played 9 games over 4 days, with 3 games going into ITB.
Reaching the 3rd day alone is a major accomplishment in an event of this caliber, and our girls showed tremendous resilience to earn a spot to play on Championship Monday. After dropping our 1st bracket game on Sunday in ITB, they responded with incredible heart and grit, stringing together 3 straight wins to stay alive.
That run included back-to-back shutout victories, a leadoff walk-off winner in ITB, and a key relief clutch pitcher stepping up to close out a critical game. Every player answered when their number was called and capitalized on their opportunity to help the team succeed.
Our pool included this year’s tournament champions, Arkansas Aftershock. We truly competed against the best of the best, and I couldn’t be more proud of this group of athletes.
