The work doesn’t stop when school lets out.

As WCS transitions back to 11-man football, our athletes, coaches, and community are embracing the challenge and putting in the work to level up every day. From early morning lifts to summer training sessions, we’re building strength, discipline, and a championship mindset.

During Wednesday morning’s basketball camp session, coaches and campers took a group picture displaying this year’s Honduras/Haiti bottles. As we have done since 1998, our school family has collected change voluntarily in these bottles to improve the lives of impoverished children in the two poorest countries in the Western Hemisphere. We still have some change to count, but it appears we will have the chance to surpass $10,000! Although change is increasingly hard to come by, we have been blessed with more paper currency from our students as well as alumni and faculty. We use James 1:27 as our theme verse annually: ‘Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.’
