Liverpool FC International Academy – Texas and Houston FC have entered into a strategic partnership that will allow for the players of the Liverpool FC International Academy – Texas to compete at a high level during the summer without losing their NCAA eligibility. Houston FC is a player-centric soccer club dedicated to helping young men and women develop on and off the field. Founded in 2017, the club currently competes in USL League Two, UPSL, UPSLW, and USL Academy. This partnership will open additional league pathways for the players within the Liverpool FC International Academy at an even higher level and further advance their skills and abilities.
Through this collaboration, Liverpool FC International Academy Texas will focus on developing players during the grassroots through the competitive stages, helping young athletes build strong technical abilities, game intelligence, and a genuine love for the game during the most critical years of their development.
Houston FC will serve as the next step within the pathway, providing talented players with opportunities to compete at higher levels while continuing their development in competitive environments that prioritize performance, exposure, and long-term growth. Together, the organizations aim to create a clear and structured pathway that allows players to progress from early development stages into higher levels of competition, while also gaining valuable exposure opportunities for college recruitment and continued advancement within the game.
The partnership connects grassroots player development with future higher-level competitive opportunities, combining Liverpool International Academy’s globally recognized training philosophy with Houston FC’s competitive pathway that includes teams competing in the UPSL and USL League Two.
Parents, players, and coaches will begin to see the impact of this partnership in the upcoming season as both organizations will begin to work together to implement shared development principles and strengthen the pathway for young athletes throughout Houston and across the state of Texas.
