Lone Star Select Shooting Team

Last week 7 of our Lonestar athletes headed to San Antonio for the 2026 Ag Clays Event. While they were shooting under some of their local 4H or FFA groups, that doesn't stop us from giving them credit where credit is due!! They are still Lonestar!!

First, let's congratulate LSSST Team Captain Kaden Kennedy for making Adult Male HOA!! First in state!! That's a huge accomplishment and you deserve all the praise Kaden! Way to go!

Mckenzee Jacobs placed 3rd overall HOA for Adult Ladies!

Mckenzee placed 2nd in Trap, 2nd in Sporting Clays and 2nd in Super Sporting.

Kaden placed 2nd in Trap, 1st in Sporting Clays, 4th in Trap Doubles and tied for first in Super Sport against Sam Tello.

Sam Tello pulled out the win for 1st place in Super Sport after the shootoff against Kaden!

Great job to all who competed and congratulations on our podium winners!

This isn’t just a photo of an athlete at practice. This is a photo of dedication, perseverance, and the kind of work ethic that often goes unnoticed. Pictured here is Keller Parr putting in extra time… after practice was already over. While others had packed up and headed home, Keller stayed behind, choosing one more round, one more rep, one more opportunity to improve. Success isn’t built only during scheduled practice hours—it’s built in the moments when no one is watching, when effort is a choice. This photo captures more than practice; it captures commitment and the mindset that separates good from great. This is the kind of athlete that is known for.

Chase Wilks, LSSST Pro-Team Member, is now using the experience and knowledge he’s built over the years to give back at practice—supporting coaches, helping teammates, and sharing what he’s learned along the way.

It speaks volumes about the culture of our team. For these athletes, it’s more than just a sport—it’s a way of life.

Trey Barker may not currently have an athlete on the team, but he’s still very much part of the family. You’ll still catch him out supporting the squad, wearing our gear, and proudly representing wherever he goes.

All the fun from Texas State FITASC this past weekend! 🎯❤️

These kids know how to shoot, and they definitely know how to have fun. One of the best parts of the weekend was watching friendships grow and seeing our team come together even more. Whether someone joined the team last week or has been with us for years, they're welcomed with open arms and become part of the family from day one.

The memories made, the laughs shared, and the bonds strengthened this weekend are what make this team so special. We’re more than teammates—we’re family. are brand new to the team or been around for years, we are a family and everyone is brought into the fold.

Lone Star Select Shooting Team team has taken over SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Lewisville! They've been super accommodating and the rooms are clean and comfy.
