Rob Manfred and MLB’s message to the young generation is clear. “Cheaters prosper.” Even if you get caught, the tiny slap on the wrist you receive will be a joke, and you’ll still be paid giant postseason bonuses and allowed to keep “winning.”

And they wonder why less and less people watch, or care, every season.

Cheaters who know they will get away with it will always cheat. Why would we want to cheer for Cora anyway? Does anyone even care who wins anymore? Baseball is turning itself culturally irrelevant by not properly policing or punishing.
