It is with a heavy heart that the St. Croix Base Ball Club announces the passing of our umpire and friend Tom Simonet. He had been a fixture in the vintage base ball world in the Twin Cities ever since he yelled, "Striker to the Line." He will be more than missed but the memories of the matches when he was there was the greatest gift our club ever had. Thank you Mr. Simonet for all the calls - good or bad - that were made on the field and off.

The St. Croix Baseball Club, with the help of the Quicksteps, crossed bats with the Afton Red Sox and the Menomonie Blue Caps for a great day of ball. The St. Croix's came out on the short end of two timed matched! It was a great day otherwise!!

St. Croix's vs. Rum River Rovers this Saturday June 15th at the Hay Lake School Museum in Scandia. Start time will be 2pm - and then after all players receive half price admission to the Hay Lake Beer Tasting fundraiser that begins at 4pm.

The St. Croix Base Ball Club is looking forward to another great season on the diamond. Hope you will be able to make a few of the matches this year. The schedule will be out soon, but make sure you come to the Hay Lake event on Saturday June 15th as well as when the St. Croixs play the Woodbury Mystery team September 15th at the Lake Middle School on Pioneer Drive from 1pm to 4:3pm.
