Hurricane Racing Camps Hurricane - Mt. Hood, Oregon Summer Ski Racing Camps July 8 to July 22 / 29th year at Mt. Ski Coaches Association. Bob has been operating camps at Mt.

Hood / This 9 day session has 2 travel days, 1 weather day and ski train 6 days; 3 days GS gate training and 3 days Slalom gate training with free ski drills and technical evaluation each day. The 14 day session has 2 travel days, 2 weather days and ski train 9 days; 4 days GS gate training and 5 days Slalom gate training with free ski drills and technical evaluation each day. Modern technique and

tactics will be instructed and used during all sessions. Each day will consist of ski instruction/coaching, gate training, video and review, afternoon athletic activities, camp meeting and 4 meals per day at the Huckleberry Inn in Government Camp. Transportation is provided daily to and from ski area, also airport pickup and drop-off at Portland International Airport (PDX). Campers lodge in private homes located in Government Camp and very short walking distance into town. This camp is operated and coached by Bob Vial a Level 500 International certified coach with the U.S. Hood since 1986. Over the years he has hired numerous top level coaches and racers to participate in the Hurricane camps. Bob will spend a lot of time and attention focusing on the fundamentals that will help you improve you skiing and racing ability. Assistant Coaches: Sam Coffey of the Aspen Ski Club, University of New Hampshire ski team and NCAA All-American 2011. Cannon O'Brien of Sierra Nevada College and Ski Club Vail. Hello! I will be coaching at Ski Brule, Nov. 28, 29, 30 and Dec. 1, 2024 for the annual "Pat Slattery" Thanksgiving Camp. Four days are available or separately to ski train with a focus on Slalom.
This is a great local opportunity to get started with your season!

Thanksgiving Ski Camp 2023 at Ski Brule, November 23 to 26. I will be there coaching. Ski Brule does a great job of getting the ski area open and preparing the slopes. If you were a “ski racer” and a member of USSA (United States Ski Association) in the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and early 2000’s you probably received a few of these. Recently I dug thru all these saved boxes I had to find 381 newspapers and magazines of Ski Racing. Not sure where these will go next!?
