Still a great way to enjoy the warm weather on the canal!

As summer heats up, residents and tourists alike are looking for places to cool off in the Copper Country. Dating back to July 1953, this month's image from the Michigan Tech Archives looks back at the Tommy Bartlett Water Ski and Jumping Boat Show, which wowed spectators along the Keweenaw Waterway. Let's just say that some ways to beat the heat are more spectacular than others!

You just arrived in Houghton about to embark on a journey at when all of a sudden there are hundreds of clubs at K-day and you can't decide what to do. Sound familiar?!
When it comes to finding the best way to enjoy the outdoors surrounding Michigan Tech, there is no better opportunity to uniquely experience the portage canal.
We may have wrapped up the season for 2025 but hope to see you out on the water with us in 2026.

Last ski sesh of the season 🧊🥶 — November 15 and still sending it ❄️⛷️ all the snow we got last week is gone but the water is still available, not much boat traffic! Might have to hit up after this one 👀

Last weekend was a busy one for our club members‼️
We helped out Husky Eats at the game, took part in Make a Difference Day with , winterized the boat for the season 🚤❄️, and took part in the .skiandsnowboard club's Night of the Living Shred Rail Ram.
This crew is staying active on and off the water!
