The Copper Country branch of Wildcat Aquatics Club (operated by Huskies Swim Training) divides swimmers into three training groups that are based on age, skill, maturity, and training ability.

Copper Country Killer Whales - Winter 2024

The CC Killer Whales swim team fall session is Jan 15 - Mar 28 (no swim week of 2/5 or 2/26).

Cost: $250

Location: Houghton HS Pool, Door 4

First Regular Practice - Mon, Jan 15 - 6:30PM Practice is 3 nights a week (M-W-Th) 6:30-8pm for bronze/silver/gold and high school swimmers, and 45 min/session for future stars (and a lower swimmer/coach ratio).

Kids have fun swimming with their friends and developing their skills! See our website for more information.

NEW SWIMMERS - How to Join:

1) Pass Skill Assessment by KW Coach: We are not a learn-to-swim program – new swimmers must pass a skill assessment conducted by our coaches before being able to join the team. See our website for more information and if you have questions, please ask!

2) Please fill out online registration paperwork prior to attending the Skills Assessment.

3) Show up ready to swim at a practice for a Killer Whales Coach to conduct the Skills Assessment. Please don't pay any fees until after your kiddo passes.

Due to safety concerns we cannot accept kids into our program until they are able to pass the Skills Assessment. Our coaches assessment is final and only the KW coaches can conduct an allowable assessment (we do not accept parent or other skills assessment signoffs).

Swimming is a GO for Spring 2022! Session starts at 6:30 PM on Monday January 17th (come 15 minutes early to fill out the registration forms please). The cost is $250 for 9 weeks of swimming available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at the Houghton High School Pool. If you are new to the program or know someone who is new...any youth can try the program on Monday 1/17 with no obligation to continue.
