Please help us welcome Ellie to the In Her Era Ambassador Team! 💖🤼‍♀️🍋

Ellie is 9 years old and wrestles for the JC Youth Wrestling Club. What inspired us most about her application wasn't just her love for wrestling, but her desire to give back to the sport that helped her find where she belongs.

Like many young athletes, Ellie tried a lot of different activities before discovering wrestling. Once she stepped onto the mat, she found a community, a challenge, and a place that felt like home. Now she's working to make sure other kids have the same opportunity.

Through her summer lemonade stand, Ellie raises money to help sponsor local youth wrestlers in her club, helping more kids discover the sport she loves. At such a young age, she's already showing what it means to support her teammates, invest in her community, and help grow wrestling for the next generation.

Her mom shared that Ellie wants to be a positive example for other girls and advocate for greater representation of female wrestlers at every level of the sport. We think that's a pretty incredible goal.

The Big Sioux Area Recruiting Showcase is coming to Canton, SD on July 29, and it's completely FREE to attend. College coaches from across the region will be there to connect with athletes, answer questions, and help you learn more about opportunities after high school.

Kenli is a 15 year old female wrestler. What inspired us most about her application wasn't just her love for wrestling, but her commitment to helping other girls find the same confidence and community that wrestling has given her.

Kenli didn't start wrestling until 8th grade. Today, she's entering her sophomore year and is already paying it forward by encouraging younger girls to step onto the mat, helping at practices and meets, and showing others that it's never too late to start something new.

In her application, Kenli shared that one girl convinced her to try wrestling, and that decision changed her life. Now she hopes to be that person for the next generation of female wrestlers.

I cannot thank this outstanding group of individuals enough for the hard work they put in today, making the Inaugural Gold Rush Rumble in Deadwood a huge success. Not only was it the very first wrestling tournament many of us have had a hand in planning, it was the first time using the WARZone format - which nearly none of our wrestling families walked in familiar with. To say this was new to all of us would be an understatement but somehow, we helped over 150 athletes wrestle over 420 matches in under 7 hours! A huge thank you to all the athletes and families that joined us, Jeramy and the Deadwood Recreation Center for being the BEST HOST, our refs, tables, and scales who helped this event run absolutely seamlessly, Marcus for being the “everything” go-to guy, and of course our Mat Boss and the new official announcer of the Gold Rush Rumble, Taylor
