We're very excited to announce the dates for the 10 Annual Fall River Hot Air Balloon Festival! Coming next August 22-24th!! We hope to make this the best festival yet, and hope that you will plan to attend.

🎈⛳️ We will be having our annual tethered hot air balloon fundraiser and BBQ at Southern Hills Golf Course on Saturday, May 11th from 6-8 pm! Tickets will go on sale at the golf course at 5:00 pm near the balloons. It is $20 per person to ride, CASH ONLY. There will also be a BBQ dinner and drinks for sale at the club house. Enjoy your BBQ while watching the balloons.

You may want to bring a camp chair or picnic blanket to sit on while waiting for your turn to tether.

This fundraiser is for the 2nd University Avenue Mural.

*** Just remember, this event is weather dependent. If it is too windy or raining, this event will be canceled. Follow Western Horizons Hot Air Balloons for weather related updates or cancellations posted a few days before the event and on the day of the event. 🎈🤓⛳️

FYI! There will be several balloons flying out of the Hot Springs Airport tomorrow morning just before 8:00 a.m..... for anyone who is interested in seeing balloons in the sky. 🎉🎉🎊🎊🎊

Tether UPDATE! For those waiting and wondering when the next tethered hot air balloon fundraiser will be...........it will be sometime this Fall, when the evening temperatures are cooler than summertime evening temperatures. The cooler it is, the more weight a hot air balloon can carry, and the longer we can fly.

We attempted to reschedule this Spring's canceled hot air balloon tethered fundraiser a few times, but due to local pilots schedules not matching on the evenings of calmer winds, we have not had our rescheduled tether. We didn't want to do a tethered fundraiser with just one balloon, otherwise many people would be turned away due to a short flight window and a limited quantity of fuel on board, so we are waiting for the evenings to cool off AND when there will be at least 2 local pilots available to do the tether at the same time.
