THE MOMENT ALL OUR AMAZING Chemung County Fair Horse Show DRESSAGE RIDERS HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!
Here is schedule #1.
ALL Western and English Dressage tests will be ridden in the smaller 20m x 40m ring. The ring will be switched at the lunch break for the upper classes, to the standard 20m x 60m ring.
Your BACK NUMBER/BRIDLE NUMBER is listed on this schedule. If you do not yet have this physical number to put on your bridle/saddle pad/back you pick this up the day before or early Saturday from the MAIN SHOW OFFICE attached to the indoor ring.
ALL SCHEDULING QUESTIONS should be directed in a message at this Western Dressage of Twin Tiers Classic Horse Show Series page or email Tina at [email protected]. Do NOT use any other address for communication regarding scheduling of rides. Same goes for scratching. We have a long waiting list for this show and if you are scratching your ride(s) we need to know ASAP. It is never acceptable to just NOT show up for a class without notifying a manager (Norm Johnson or Tina Sochia) or the Scorer in the Western Dressage Shack/Office next to the warm-up rings. We thank you very much for doing this!
Scores will be posted on the outside of the Shack and when PLACEMENTS are listed, you can come inside and get your test sheet, ribbon and horse treats!
High Point and Reserve High Point Ribbons and gift cards will be presented to the highest and second highest single test score in the following Levels:
Western Dressage: Intro and Basic
English Dressage: Intro and Training
All-over high score and 2nd highest score JUNIOR (regardless of level)

For fair horse show exhibitors…

~ we will have parking passes that each vehicle from the horse show needs to have visible in your vehicle (can pick up in show office).

~ empty trailers coming in Tuesday/Wednesday will need to park in the fenced in area to the right when you come inside gate 5 (horse end gate) - any questions please contact Shelly Rozell (the grassy field will need to be a holding area Wednesday for our tractor pull participants due to the harness race taking place Wednesday morning/afternoon). After Wednesday empty trailers can still park in that area or along the fence by the car wash - ensuring enough space for those coming to show off their trailers.

We have a judge change for the Chemung County Fair Dressage Show. We are thrilled to have Margaret Boyce!

Bio: Duo Citizen Margaret K Boyce is based in New Westminster, BC Canada. She is a classical trained dressage judge/coach/trainer and competitor but began her equine journey as a western rider. She loves Western Dressage and uses old world, humane training methods and combines it with a holistic, scientific based approach. She holds USEF Official R Dressage. R Western Dressage and Dressage Seat Equitation judges cards and in her final phase of her FEI Para Dressage Level One Judge status. Margaret also is a Equestrian Canada Certified Dressage Coach, Official Medium Dressage Judge and Medium Para Dressage Judge. She is available for clinics , training and judging.

Additional entries will be on a waiting list and you will be notified immediately if you are on the waiting list, and then if ride spots open up and you can be entered. Thank you to everyone for your help in this!

The Chemung County Fair is fast approaching! A few reminders for this show:

If your horse is coming from outside of NY state a health certificate is required!!

Pre-entries are highly encouraged as there is a late fee applied if not submitted ahead of the due date.

The Chemung County Ag membership is different from TTC membership - this is required to be an exhibitor at the fair and provides you with the gate pass.

The Fair Waiver form (attached below) is required by ALL exhibitors indicating that you are aware of the fair grandstand events that cause increased noise, etc and that there are fireworks on Saturday night at 9:30 pm (plan ahead to make sure that your horse is comfortable and safe).

Your back number will flow through to this show so please include that on your entry forms (saves us time searching for the back numbers).

Camping is limited during fair (as other shows) - with various shows going on that week we ask that you reserve your camping sites (with payment or blank check) ahead of time. As well as being mindful that if coming in the site may be used by a previous show/exhibitor and they may not be out of the site upon your arrival and you may have to wait (we do our best to limit this happening but with high demands and low site numbers this may happen). There is NO camping at the pole barn during the fair horse shows due to the midway rides/events/etc. We will only be using the lower camping and a handful of sites available on the hill.

AUGUST 8 CHEMUNG COUNTY Chemung County Fair Horse Show WESTERN AND ENGLISH DRESSAGE ! FORMS ATTACHED HERE!
ENTRIES ARE CAPPED AT 65 SPOTS PLEASE GET THEM IN EARLY! We will continue to take entries until Aug 3 if we don't reach 65, but earlier the better! Rides MUST be paid for in advance or you will not be scheduled into a ride time.
