That’s a wrap on our Cider Creek Rec League season.
What started as a simple idea to give kids a little extra baseball this summer turned into something truly special.

To all the coaches who showed up every week with energy, patience, and passion — thank you. Your time, your effort, your willingness to jump in and teach these kids means more than you know. You made this league what it was.

Coach Ridgeway, Coach Charles & Alex Brimner, Coach Brett Havens, Coach Ted Illi, Coach Steve Stromsness, Coach Brandon Cavalier, Coach Brad Erving, and our umpire Angelo Scotti — thank you for being there, for showing up with a great attitude, and for helping shape such a positive experience for these kids.

To the parents and families, thank you for bringing your kids, cheering them on, and supporting this program from day one. Your encouragement made the field feel like home.

And to the kids — you were the heart of it all. You showed up ready to play, ready to learn, and most importantly, ready to have fun. The effort, the laughs, the growth… that’s what this was all about.

A special thank you to Coach Ridgeway for helping me create and build this league from the ground up. Your support, ideas, and time made all the difference.

And a huge thank you to Hornell Little League, especially Samantha Hopkins and Brian Dyring, for opening the field to us and giving this league a home. Your generosity and support helped bring this to life.

Watching these kids gain confidence, improve their skills, and form friendships over the past several weeks has been one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had as a coach.

Thank you all for making this season so memorable. Let’s keep building on what we’ve started — because I think we’ve got something really special here. 💙⚾

As we come down to our last days, the other coaches and myself, just want to say thank you for letting us coach and get to know your kids over the last month! It’s been great and we hope to see as many kids as we can at the last 2 games this week! Big Thank you to all the parents that captured some moment during our games or practices this year. We appreciate you guys and hope to see you all when we run it back next year! 💯

Hey everyone! Just a reminder that tonight’s game starts at 6:30 PM — please have your kids at the field by 6:15 for warm-ups. Please go to your respective field to warm up with your coaches.

We’ll be doing machine pitch tonight. After talking with the coaches, we’ve decided to hold off on kid pitch until next week. We haven’t had a lot of time to work with the pitchers, and we want to avoid anyone getting hit unnecessarily — plus keep the game moving smoothly. Right now, the focus is on building confidence at the plate and working on hitting and fielding fundamentals. We’ll ease into kid pitch soon as the kids get more comfortable.

🗣️🗣️Games tonight!! Be at the field no later than 6:15 so we can start on time. If you can be there by 6 to get kids warmed up, get their jerseys and find out what field they will be playing on. Bring water and wear cleats. And please bring your child’s batting helmet and gloves please. Every child should have their own helmet. We can provide bats but please have your child’s helmet and glove. See ya there!
