I've danced for over 18 years and have loved every minute of it. My dance studio was my sports team, my hobby, and my second family growing up. Dance has taught me discipline, dedication, self confidence, respect for myself and others. Along with the physical aspects like poise, grace and posture, I believe dance is a therapy form in itself. To move to a song that you can relate to personally can
help reduce stress and escape from life’s hardships. Growing up, I had so many priceless opportunities at the Dance Centre. I traveled to NYC and danced at Radio City Music Hall with the Rockets. On weekends, I traveled to NYC for workshops and classes. I was “Clara,” the lead role in the Nut Cracker Ballet and the Sugar plum fairy in a different performance of the Nut Cracker. I held lead roles in 42 Street and Oliver Twist. I was in many other musicals casted as a dancer; some of those include The Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan, South Pacific, Anne, and West Side Story. I also performed at Sea Breeze and Darien Lake amusement parks along with many festivals, competitions and local community events. As time went on I had the opportunity to work with multiple theater groups and schools in the surrounding areas. I’ve choreographed Pippen, Joseph, Aida, Hairspray, The Great American Trailer Park Musical, Fiddler on the Roof, and The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley. These memories will always be very close to my heart and I am thankful that Jane instilled the passion that I’ll be sharing with your children today. As the Director, instructor and choreographer, I hope to share my dance education and similar opportunities with your children. I am actively certified by test through Dance Masters of America. Having this certification not only furthers my dance education but also allows me to keep up with new teaching methods and techniques to enhance my students’ dance education. I love to create a friendly, encouraging atmosphere that will allow my students’ to succeed above and beyond. I feel there is nothing more gratifying than to watch the children I’ve taught conquer steps and combinations, and be so proud of themselves. I invite you to join our dance family!
