This morning we worked on more habitat improvement. This area was an old over grown pasture that has turned to shrub/tree growth. Our goal is to turn this area into a grassland pasture mix. We mowed and had a control burn to eliminate more brush left over from cutting fire wood.

Gamekeepers of wild whitetail herds cannot manage genetics through harvest to produce any measurable change in them. This is just a fact. There IS evidence to show that other things we can do will help individual bucks to reach their particular genetic potential.

Research determined that ticks can not only carry CWD prions in their blood meal, they can also carry enough of the agent to potentially infect another animal with CWD.
