The countdown to duck season is on at Reelfoot Lake!

While the August heat is still here, we are already preparing our blinds for the crisp mornings ahead. There is nothing quite like watching the sunrise over the cypress trees, cup of coffee in hand, waiting for the first flight to drop in.

It’s so dang hot outside even the armadillos are going for a swim!

I’ve seen a lot of things on Reelfoot Lake, but an armadillo swimming across the lake wasn’t one of them. You truly never know what you’re going to see out here!
