Did MVP Just Beat the Firebird? 😳

While Simon Lizotte wanted the Aspect to be a fairway driver that pushed straight down the fairway before a reliable overstable finish, the Eclipse edition may have turned out a tick or two more overstable.

We enjoyed throwing this disc, especially on strong flex lines, whether backhand or forehand. We definitely didn’t have to worry about the disc flipping unexpectedly, but it also offered quite a bit of distance relative to its overstability.

We expect the stock Neutron edition to be truer to its flight numbers than this special edition Eclipse run, which flies more like an Innova Firebird.

Is the Terminator the Destroyer Killer? 🤔

Discraft fans have been searching for a true Innova Destroyer clone for years. While several molds have filled similar slots, nothing has quite matched the legendary Destroyer.

The Elite Team, however, is loving the new Terminator—has Discraft finally designed a mold that meets the gold standard?

Engineered with dome pre-built into the mold and a torque-resistant profile, Discraft pushed the limits by taking a page out of Discmania’s book and shifting more mass into the nose of the wing, thereby increasing its gyroscopic stability and providing a forward-penetrating fade.

To compare the flights, Jordan tested the new Terminator and a Star Destroyer on a 420-foot hole. The Terminator flipped to flat from a small hyzer release and pushed straight down the fairway before finishing with a nice pushing fade. This particular Star Destroyer was more understable than the Terminator, requiring more hyzer angle in order to hold the hyzer line toward the basket.

Luna x Zone = Captain’s Caliber 🎯

Fitting perfectly between the Zone and the Luna, the Captain’s Caliber is the result of European Team Captain Seppo Paju’s desire for an approach disc that glides more than the Zone while still offering reliable overstability. Its torque resistance allows you to commit with power and have confidence that the disc will hold the line and finish with a forward-penetrating fade. It features a rounded profile, providing a comfortable grip.

Q-Line Premier Cloud Breaker 🥩

The Q-Line Premier Cloud Breaker is built for big arms craving reliable overstability.

Discmania actually changed the high-speed turn rating from -1 to 0.

What does that mean for you? It refuses to turn willingly, making it an absolute weapon for headwind shots.

Plus, with its enhanced gyroscopic stability, this edition still pushes for good distance.

Jordan mentioned that this Gannon Buhr signature series run of the Q-Line Cloud Breaker flies similarly to the highly sought-after first run Calvin Heimburg Halo Destroyer.

Does Q-Line Actually Fly Farther? 💪

Disc golfers have been claiming that Discmania’s new Q-Line plastic adds 20-40 feet of distance thanks to its enhanced gyroscopic flight. But does it work for midranges?

To find out, Jordan took Gannon Buhr’s European Open Q-Line MD3 and put it head-to-head against a classic C-Line MD3. After 14 sets of max-power shots, the results speak for themselves!

THE RESULTS (Q-Line vs. C-Line MD3):
- Max distance: 422 ft | 387 ft
- Avg. distance: 376 ft | 362 ft
- Top 5 average: 395 ft | 379 ft
- St. dev.: 19.6 ft | 19.6 ft

From the chart shown in the video, the superior distance of the Q-Line version became apparent, beating C-Line every single time when the throws were ranked by distance.

Jordan was remarkably consistent in this test with a standard deviation of only 19.6 feet for both discs.

Flight numbers: 5 | 5 | 0 | 1

A Better Trail? 🤔

Ever since it dropped, the MVP Trail has been dominating our bestsellers list. But many of us, especially power throwers, have often wished for a more overstable, torque-resistant version. Well, MVP finally delivered with the brand-new MVP Control. It’s engineered to let you rip on it as hard as you want or fight the wind without worrying about it burning over. With its moderately overstable flight, the Control still allows you to achieve those long, beautiful flights that you would expect out of the Trail’s overstable brother.

FEATURED FLIGHTS
1️⃣ Forehand slight flex - 370 feet
2️⃣ Backhand flex - 381 feet
3️⃣ Forehand hyzer - 346 feet
4️⃣ Backhand slight flex - 454 feet

Is the Bokeh Good for Forehands? 🤔

If you’ve followed us for a while, you probably know that the forehand is Kellan’s specialty. Here is his forehand review of the Axiom Simon Line Bokeh.

FOREHAND PROS AND CONS
✅ Pro 1: A great forehand flip-up disc for shaping shots in the woods.
✅ Pro 2: A versatile 7-speed that can hold any line—hyzer, straight, and slow-turning shots.
✅ Pro 3: Great for learning forehands because of its reliable stability and good distance.
❌ Con: The dome can be uncomfortable for some forehand players.

FEATURED FLIGHTS
1️⃣ Forehand hyzerflip - 330 feet
2️⃣ Forehand turnover - 357 feet
3️⃣ Forehand hyzer - 320 feet
4️⃣ Forehand hyzerflip - 330 feet
