Let's welcome our new AD, and Varsity Football coach: Andrew Selgrad !
The School District of Horicon is pleased to announce that Andrew Selgrad has been named Middle & High School Assistant Principal/Athletic & Activities Director and Head Football Coach. Mr. Selgrad brings extensive experience as a teacher, instructional leader, and accomplished coach, with a strong commitment to supporting student success both in the classroom and through co-curricular programs. His work aligns closely with the district’s mission to Educate. Engage. Empower. Every Day.
Throughout his career, Mr. Selgrad has served students in a variety of roles across multiple Wisconsin school districts, including as an AP science classroom teacher and instructional coach. He has built strong relationships with staff, students, and families while promoting high expectations for learning, leadership, and behavior.
In addition to his educational leadership experience, Mr. Selgrad is a highly respected football coach with more than 20 years of coaching experience. His accomplishments include leading Columbus High School to a WIAA Division 4 State Championship. He has also been recognized as the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association/Green Bay Packers High School Coach of the Year and the Associated Press High School Football Coach of the Year.
Mr. Selgrad’s broad background in teaching, leadership, and athletics will help strengthen opportunities for Horicon students and continue the district’s commitment to excellence in academics, activities, and student development.
Mr. Selgrad is a graduate of St. Mary’s Springs High School. He earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh, a Master’s degree in Educational Technology from Marian College, and an Educational Leadership degree from Concordia University. He and his wife, Amber, have one son, Eleazar
