Johnson Named All-Region by USTFCCCA

AMHERST, N.Y. — CJ Johnson (Baltimore, Md.) was named U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field All-East Region for the 1500m.

ECC recap post 1: We had so much success at our conference meet, we have to split it into multiple posts.

We took home SIX gold medals on the day!

Men's 10,000m - with a patient, perfectly executed race.

Women's 400h - .savagee with the surprise victory. Last seed time in the fastest heat, but won the race after the final hurdle.

Men's 400h - was the slight underdog, but came from behind to win with the lean at the line.

Men's 1500m - .jayy16 was the favorite to win, and he took care of business in his first of 3 medals on the day.

Women's 400m - .wrighttt was the underdog on paper but we knew she was the class of this field. She made her move with 150m to go and stretched it out on the home straight in a school record time.

Men's 5000m - with his second victory of the day. Moved with a mile to go and closed in a 4:40 to run away from the field.

Men's 4x800m - got us out in good position. .jayy16 moved us into first place, held onto the lead with a solid leg, and was absolutely not getting caught. First 4x800m win for the Wildcat men.

What a season! We ended our year with the ECC outdoor conference championship this past Thursday. Before we get into all of the outstanding performances, we'd like to take the time to thank our seniors. It's pretty clear that they are loved by their teammates, and will be truly missed. As they move on to the next chapter of their lives, they've established the foundation for all future Wildcats to build upon. Thank you, class of 2026!
