22 years - can go by in the blink of an eye. It is truly hard to believe. As we wrap up this season, we wanted to take a minute to let you know that this also wraps up our time in the world of competitive cheerleading. Bluegrass Cheerleading was started with much prayer and the Lord’s timing and guidance. And through lots of prayer, we feel His timing and guidance in our decision to be finished. We are not certain of our exact plan for the future - we know we will stay open for tumbling classes, lessons, birthday parties, school cheer teams; and of course the Dancecats will still be here.
We so very much wanted to be the ones to tell each of you personally, but as it happens in a small town, we know rumors started circulating already. Going about this the right way was very important to us, and it didn’t happen exactly as we’d hoped, but that’s okay.
We know this news will come as a surprise to some of you, and we know there is an element of sadness with this announcement. We have certainly shed some tears, and no doubt will shed some more.
To those of you who were part of our beginning, thank you.
To those of you we’ve had for many years, thank you. To those of you we’ve had only a season or two, thank you.
Thank you for sharing your time and your talents and your lives and your children with us. No amount of time is really ever enough. Whatever you choose to do in the future, know that you always have us cheering you on.
And here is your personal invitation…Monday, May 11th at 6:30pm. We would love to see anyone who has been part of our Cheercat family at our banquet as we look back at what The Lord has done not just this season, but over the past 22 years.
Once a Cheercat, always a Cheercat.
