We use the teachings of Jesus Christ to help our players learn skills such as focus, determination, poise, leadership, and sacrifice that will help them in sports and life. Player Goals and Expectations
-To represent Christ in a sportsmanlike manner through actions, language, and attitude.
-To exemplify Christ in their:
desire and work ethic at practice, games, school, and home. leadership, ser
vice, and devotion towards their team, family, and community. focus and determination during the many obstacles and setbacks that will face you in sports and life.
-To have FUN by being a student of the game. The better you understand your roles and responsibilities the easier and more fun the game becomes. Parents Goals and Expectations
-To represent Christ in a sportsmanlike manner through actions, language, and attitude.
-Parents cheer, players play, and coaches coach - wholeheartedly support this concept. No coaching from the stands, No non coach parents in the dugout.
-Respect the umpires decisions (if a call needs to be discussed, that is the coaches job).
-At the end of the game tell you child you loved watching them play. If there are things that you want to work on with them, make a list and then discuss them after the adrenaline of the game has worn off.
-Find a way to Serve and help the team. Matthew 20:26-27 “Whoever wants to be great must help others, and whoever wants to be first must be a servant to others.” ALL parents will be expected to serve in concessions (2-3 times) and to help in whatever other ways that they are capable.
-Set and example for your children just as Christ set an example for us in His actions. Coach Goals and Expectations
-Represent Christ in a sportsmanlike manner through language, action, and attitude.
-Posses a sincere desire to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and a willingness to share and mentor to the players and other coaches.
-Focus on Teaching the game of baseball and the lessons of Jesus Christ.
-Be prepared and on time for practices and games - strive for structured practices and player management to maximize player and team development.
-Communicate effectively with players and parents. The one thing that I know about these expectations is that we will all fall short of our goals. The only thing that I expect from everyone is that we all do our best to lead by example to help each other and our children become more Christ like through the season.
