The Summer of 2026 - ALC’s 120th year - drew to a close this afternoon as our Family Camp families headed home. We have had a wonderful summer with our Full Season, Session I, Session II, AMT and Ireland Campers, with our amazing Counselor Staff, and now with our Family Camp Families too.

We are thankful to all who have been a part of this amazing summer, and we are confident that each member of the 2026 ALC Community has headed home having accepted new challenges, gained new skills, and shared laughs and heartfelt moments with ALC friends.

We can’t wait for Summer 2027!!💙

For ALC’s five year anniversary summers, our community creates a piece of artwork to hang in the dining room. To celebrate ALC’s 120th year, alumna Danielle Mysliwiec (Mish-liv-ē-ack) led us in creating a beautiful quilt to weave the 120th community together. Every camper and counselor contributed a square for our 120th quilt, showing the beauty that emerges when we all work together. 💙

On this day, we celebrate our 2026 community while also remembering the generations who have been part of this place for the last 120 years. Happy Birthday Alford Lake Camp!!🎂

We held the 2026 Song Contest this afternoon!! ALC’s Song Contest is a longstanding tradition, and many of our most cherished songs were Song Contest winners!!

Each tent group wrote and performed their song for the entire camp, and our panel of judges selected the winner! Congratulations to Tent 11 on their winning song!!💙🎵

Up the hill and down at the lake, ALCers spent another joyful day at Alford Lake, working on baskets, learning more about Maine wildlife (and doing some research for nature sightings!!), sailing on the lake, refining swim strokes, and so much more!!
