Last two seasons in K45 were a struggle. Switched things up this season. Swapped the target bow for the hunting bow and shot Bowhunters Pro(K50 class). I found fun again and had a blast. I learned a lot this past season and it paid off with winning The class for the season. As always has some challenging courses. bleedarchery #

I have not posted on here in a while. “Archery is a humbling sport” I heard this today and it has been so true for me this season. I have struggled to find my groove and consistency this season. I’ve made changes to my equipment numerous times. I’m finding out more and more that it’s not the equipment at fault. It’s the archer. Today was one of those ah hah moments. The first half of the shoot I was not settled down. About halfway through I calmed down and had an amazing second half. Never would I have thought my score would be what it ended up if you asked me on target 8. It was nice to get out and do a shoot just for practice and fun. That “fun” part is something I tend to forget when I am too focused on points for the season.

Today I am thankful for my wonderful wife, who told me to go hunt this morning. I am thankful to have the health, ability and opportunity to enjoy hunting. I have not hunted as many days this season as past, but it has been very good to me. All buck tags filled this season. Hopefully I can fill some with the bow next year. ***rm77 ***r

Not an archery buck but one to be proud of. Veterans Day weekend has proven to be a good weekend in the deer woods for me over the years. The deer were definitely moving. I had multiple small bucks on the move and a few doe as well. This nice buck came in trailing a doe and gave me an opportunity. One of my best North Carolina bucks ***r

Full weekend of shooting Moore County Bowhunters of NC First day was mixed. Canceled out all of my 12s and didn’t help myself in the bonus. Second day tried to stay focused. Less 8s and a bad shot bought me a 5. 12 count stayed the same but was able to get rid of the 5 on the bonus target. The season end is nearing. I have learned a lot this season and had my ups and downs.

BLEED Archery will have a stand at Moore County Bowhunters of NC archery yard sale this Sunday afternoon. 3 bow cases, 3 Mathews bows (Halon 32, Triax, and VXR28), arrows both hunting/target, and much more will all be for sale! Come out and see us!
