Hi Bowling Family…I hope everyone is doing well. I wanted to drop an update on what I’ve been up to since JG.

First, just before we left Minneapolis, I bowled teams, singles and doubles in the Youth Open. My doubles partner and I finished 3rd in scratch in U16G, just 36 pins behind first. I finished 23rd of 64 in singles and 18th of 74 in All Events. Not too shabby after a long week of bowling.

After getting home, I went to work with Walt Alexander Jr. accompanied by Sadie Stojak. This was a continuation of the work we started before JG, but bigger. We’ve been working on my footwork, my timing, and some other mechanics of my physical game. My goal is to generate more power and ball speed. Part of this is going from 4 to 5 steps. I picked it up pretty quick, but it still needs some tweaks and many more reps.

Thanks to Coach Walt for working with me to get to the next level. Ryan’s Pro Shop for keeping my gear in top shape, Vestavia Bowl for being the best bowling center in the state of Alabama and KR Strikeforce for the best performance shoes.

Junior Gold 2026 is now over.
Advancer round this morning was a tough pattern. I started out decent in the first 2 games and then had some struggles in games 3-5. I missed the cut by 5 places and 71 pins. Mostly, I was pulling the ball, which is up for repair on the off season. I will be working with my coaches to make some fundamental adjustments to my timing. But that is for another day.

Today, I take pride in having finished 35 of 326 of all U16G bowlers. This is an incredible group of bowlers and I am thrilled to be among them. My first two times at this I didn’t make the cut. Third times a charm I guess! Good Luck to all that are still bowling, just take it one frame at a time.

I went further in the tournament than I ever have before and I couldn’t have done it without the support system around me, specifically, mom and dad, my coaches, my PSO, and my many bowling family members constantly cheering me on. Thank you!!🫶🏻🫶🏻

Up next: Survivor Tournament and the Youth Open. Then it’s time to head home for band camp and getting ready for school to start back up for my Junior Year!
