It was 37 years ago this week that First Down Dash was foaled on the Stanley Ranch at Madill, Oklahoma. The c**t by Dash For Cash out of the winning Gallant Jet mare First Prize Rose was bred by A.F. "Fred" Stanley Jr. and B.F. Phillips Jr.

On the racetrack, First Down Dash won 13 of 15 career starts and earned $857,256. And then as a stallion, he became arguably the greatest race sire of all time, surpassing many of the all-time records set by his own sire. Who is your favorite horse that traces back to First Down Dash?
