MEMORIES ARE THE KEY.
I’ve learned this one the hard way.
Memories are the success.
Not the bank account.
Not the job title.
Not the number of wins.
It’s the memories that give you peace when everything feels like it’s falling apart.
They remind you of who you are.
They whisper, “You mattered. You still matter.”
A drive in a midlife-crisis sports car?
Yeah, that’s a memory of youthful joy
wind in your face, stereo cranked, speeding like you’ve got no responsibilities and a full tank of freedom.
The car won’t last. The stereo will break.
But that memory will make you smile until your last breath.
Sailing on the bay…
sun on your face, cold water in your eyes, gulls screaming above,
you feel alive — not because of the moment, but because of how deep it hits you.
It locks in.
Or the birth of your first child
the chaos, the fear, the overwhelming unknown
and then that tiny human shows up, and your entire life shifts.
You’d die for them.
You’d live differently for them.
That’s not just a memory,
that’s your heart split wide open.
These are the things that connect us.
They remind us we’re not machines.
We’re souls.
YOU MATTER.
You matter by the memories you create with others, for yourself, for those you love.
Memories are the proof of a life fully lived.
