Hawaii Harlequins RFC Fan Club

Hawaii Harlequins RFC Fan Club Established in 1964, the Hawaii Harlequins Rugby Football Club has been Hawaii's premier rugby club

Hawaii Rugby was established in 1964 with the creation of the Hawaii Harlequins Rugby Club. They joined the elite group of clubs around the world able to call themselves Harlequins. The first games were played against crew teams of visiting naval ships to the island. The reputation of the Club's friendliness and hospitality soon spread which brought a steady stream of new teams that came to play against the illustrious Hawaii team. Since 1977, the Hawaii Harlequins have toured various parts of Asia, the Pacific and mainland USA. Numerous teams continue to visit Hawaii to play rugby against the Harlequins while enjoying the islands. Being well administered and managed, has given the Harlequins recognition as an important leader within Pacific Island Rugby and USA Rugby as a whole. Because of this recognition, the Hawaii Harlequins Rugby Football Club is working to build local playing numbers and to encourage even more visiting teams, coaches and supporters to play Rugby in Hawaii.

That’s the whole tryout. If you can jog that far, you’ve made the squad. 🏉 Touch rugby — Saturday, July 11 · Kapiʻolani Park · 10AM. No tackling, so your knees survive. No experience, so your ego does too. Lēʻahi’s watching, so at least look like you meant that pass. Bring the friends, the family, and the “drinking buddies” who swear they were athletic in high school. We’ll be the judge of that. 😏 All skill levels. All vibes. All aloha. Shanks guaranteed. 📍 Kapiʻolani Park | 🕙 10AM sharp-ish

Two birthdays. One field. Zero chill. 🎆🏉
America’s clocking 250. We’re 62 and somehow still upright. Come watch both of us pretend we’ve still got it.
Touch rugby — Saturday, July 4 · Kapiʻolani Park · 10AM.
No tackling, so your knees are safe. No experience, so your ego is too. If you can jog to the cooler, you can play.
Bring the friends, the family, and the “drinking buddies” who swear they were athletic in high school. We’ll find out. 😏
All skill levels. All vibes. All aloha. Fireworks optional, shanks guaranteed. 📍 Kapiʻolani Park | 🕙 10AM sharp-ish

And a punchy story-slide / comment version:

> 250 for America, 62 for us, and a whole lotta questionable side-steps for everyone else 🏉🎆 Touch rugby Sat July 4 · Kapiʻolani Park · 10AM. No experience, no tackling, no excuses — just bring the crew. HawaiiHarlequins TouchRugby

That’s a wrap on touch at Kapiʻolani. 🏉

A proper crowd turned up Saturday — tourists, old boys, players, and at least one bloke whose cardio peaked at “beer” — all out to run it off before running it back at the cooler. No tackling, no experience, no excuses — just grass, aloha, and some deeply questionable side-steps.

First-timers: bad news, you’re ʻohana now. 🤙

🗓️ Next run: Sat June 27 · 10AM · Kapiʻolani Park
🏉 Bring a mate (and their mate)

06/17/2026

No experience? No worries. No tackling? Even better. 🏉

Touch rugby this Saturday, June 20 at Kapiʻolani Park, 10AM.

Bring your friends, your family, and yes — your drinking buddies (we’ve got post-game plans for them too). All skill levels. All vibes. Zero excuses.

📍 Kapiʻolani Park
🕙 10:00 AM
🏉 No experience needed — just show up

See you on the grass. 🌺

Day 2 — En Route to the Pitch

Rise and grind, Anchorage. ☀️ Boots laced, coffee secured, and the crew’s pitch-bound for Day 2. Yesterday handed us a couple of lessons (and a fog delay for good measure) — today we run it back.

1–2 and hungry. Let’s get it. 🏉

📲 Follow — Day 2 action incoming.

HHRFC - Alaska Midnight Sun 7s - Day 1 Recap

Day 1 of the Midnight Sun 7s is in the books — and what an open. ☁️ Tournament got pushed back, the fog rolled in, and we kicked the whole thing off into the soup against Star Force. They found their range early; we found ours late. Army then handed us a second loud lesson. But we slammed the door on the New York Big Dogs to close it out — 1 win, 2 losses, and we walk off smiling.

And let the record show: we remain undefeated in the only stat that matters. Still, hands down, the best social side in the Last Frontier. 🍻

Mahalo, Anchorage. E hoʻi mai ka pili ʻohana.

🏉 Back home soon and building for next season. Ever wanted to run it with the oldest rugby club in Hawaiʻi? No experience needed — link in bio to join the ʻohana and follow .

HHRFC vs New York Big Dogs (W 30–14)

WOOF. 🐶 You don’t close Day 1 quietly. 30–14 over the New York Big Dogs to finish on a high — that’s the Harlequins we know. Take two on the chin, then bite back. Anchorage, we’re just getting warmed up.

That’s how you close a day. 🐶 Follow for the full Day 1 recap + Day 2 loading.

When the Army shows up, they don’t do anything by halves. 0–55, and full salute to a side that came to work. We got schooled, we tip the cap, we lace up again. Bruises heal — the ʻohana keeps rolling. 🤙

We don’t stay down. Follow to see how we answer. 👀

Tournament got pushed back, then the fog rolled in — so naturally we opened the Midnight Sun 7s kicking off into a cloud. ☁️ Star Force found their range early; we were still finding the ball. 7–43, not the start we wanted, but every minute out there is reps in the bank. Long way from home, still buzzing to be here. Next. 🏉

📲 Day 1 isn’t done — follow so you don’t miss the bounce-back.
