SENIOR GOLF SPOTLIGHT - THEODORE MOTICHKA

THEODORE MOTICHKA- Theodore Motichka is the son of James and Anna Motichka. He has been playing golf for the last 8 years. He began his golfing career with the PGA Jr. league at Woodloch Springs where he found an interest in the game. Theodore is also a member of the track and field team where he found another interest in pole vaulting. Theodore is very artistic and has a passion for welding and carpenty.
After graduation he plans on attending a trade school for welding. He would like to thank all his coaches for their guidance and support over the years and his parents for supporting him every step of the way

SENIOR GOLF SPOTLIGHT - JACKSON MCHUGH

Jackson McHugh is the son of Jim and Rose McHugh. He has been a member of the Honesdale High School Varsity Golf Team since his freshman year, earning Rookie of the Year honors in his first season. He first picked up a golf club at the age of five, and what began as a fun activity quickly turned into one of the defining passions of his life. Over the years, he honed his skills through the PGA Jr. League at Woodloch Springs Country Club, local Drive, Chip and Putt contests, and summer tournaments with the Anthracite Golf Association (AGA), gaining valuable experience and competing with top junior golfers across the region. His dedication to golf is matched only by his love for automobiles—a passion that runs just as deep. After graduation, Jackson plans to attend Pennsylvania College of Technology (Penn Tech), where he will major in Business and Automotive Engineering/Technology. He also plans to play on the golf team at Penn Tech, continuing his competitive golf career at the collegiate level. Jackson would like to thank his instructor, Kyle Tasselmeyer, for the incredible lessons and insight into the game, as well as his coaches and teammates for their support throughout the years. Most importantly, he extends heartfelt thanks to his family for always encouraging and supporting his love for the game.

Yesterday, 8 of our boys competed in Pre-Districts at Elkview CC. 3 boys qualified for Districts later this month. Reed Howell shot a career low 76 finishing 4th. Trevan Dahlgren got in with an 80 & Reese Dennis survived a playoff after shooting 83 to get in. Maddox Johnson & Woody Reynolds shot 84 missing the cut by one stroke. Great job boys!! 👏👏👏
