Senior spotlight- Connor Tirney

Connor Tirney is the son of Bryan and Kristy Tirney. He is a one year member of the honesdale golf team. He is also a three year member of the varsity baseball and basketball team.

After graduation he plans on attending a four year school to get a major in education.

Ben Schneider is the son of Hollie and Josh Schneider. He has been a member of the golf team for 4 years. Ben is also a member of FBLA, interact club, the ski club since 6th grade, and a member of PJAS.

Outside of golf, Ben enjoys being outside to do activities like skiing, hiking, camping, dirtbiking, fishing , and various outdoor activities aswell as spending time with family and friends.

Ben would like to thank his parents for always being there to support him. He would also like to thank Burke for helping improve his golf game over the last few years, as well as his teammates and coaches for always supporting him. Ben plans to attend a four year university to study Engineering.

Yesterday Marley Reynolds, Abby Flederbach, Julie Saylor, Bella Johnson competed in the pre districts golf tournament along with 58 other girls from our area. 26 girls qualified to go on to Districts. Among them were Honesdale’s Julie Saylor & Marley Reynolds who finished 4th place overall. Great job ladies and good luck! ⛳️👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Senior Spotlight- Woodlan Reynolds

Woodlan Reynolds is the son of Drew Reynolds and Ashley Baker. Woodlan has been a 4 year member of the golf team and a member of ski club since 8th grade.

After graduation Woodlan plans on going into an apprenticeship with an Ironworking union. Woodlan would like to thank both his parents especially his dad for getting him into golf and coaching him, aswell as both coaches especially Coach Miller. Woodlan would like to thank his friends family and teamsters for the support, encouragement, and love. Thank you!

Senior Spotlight - Maddox Johnson

Maddox Johnson is the son of Kyreek Johnson, Katie Sporer, and Tom Sporer. Maddox has been a four year member of the golf team, two year member of ski club, and apart of the track team since 8th grade year.

After graduation, Maddox plans on attending Johnson college for the HVAC and plumbing 2.5 year program. Maddox would like to thank both coaches, especially coach Miller for always supporting me even outside of golf. He’d like to say thank you to his family, friends, and teammates for the encouragement , support, and love. Thank you.

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT- Reed Howell

Reed Howell is the son of Patti and AG Howell. Reed is a four year member of the golf team and serves as a tri-captain on this year’s team.

Outside of golf, Reed is a 6 year member of the wresting team, and a member of Grace Ridge Church and FCA. Reed likes to spend his free time with his friends and family.

Reed would like to thank his father for teaching him the game and both of his parents for always supporting him on and off the golf course. He would also like to thank his family, friends, and teammates for always being there for him. Reed plans to attend a 4 year university and continue his golf career.

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT- Julie Saylor

Julie Saylor is the daughter of Jason and Christine Saylor. Julie has been a member of the Honesdale high school girls varsity golf team since your freshman year. She has earned Lackawanna’s All-Star player of the season in her junior year along with coming in 3rd place for the Anne Simons tournament, and coming in first place for the commissioner’s cup sophomore and junior year. Julie first picked up a golf club at 12 years old that began as a fun family activity that has turned into a passion for the game.

After graduation, Julie would like to attend Northampton community college to pursue a associates degree in medical lab technician then go into a program for a Histotechnology. She also plans on playing for Northampton’s girls golf team. Julie would like to thank her coaches and teammates for the support throughout the years most importantly, Julie sends her thank yous to her family especially her dad and grandfather for all the tips, tricks, and encouragement for the love of the game.
