States Recap 🐝

Maddie Miller gave it her all in the first round, battling hard before taking a tough loss and unfortunately sustaining an injury that prevented her from returning to the mat. We are incredibly proud of the fight and heart she showed.

Leah Klink also joined our Hershey journey as the best morale booster there is 🦄

Saige Olver fell in her first round match, but fought her way back through the bracket to earn an 8th place podium finish at States! 💪

We could not be more proud of Saige in her final season as a Hornet. She has truly paved the way for so many future Hornet Lady Wrestlers, and her impact on this program will be felt for years to come.

Congratulations to both of these incredible athletes! 🖤🐝❤️

After a long, hard-fought day of wrestling, two of our four regional qualifiers are STATE BOUND!

🥈 Saige Over and Maddie Miller both battled their way to a 2nd place finish at Regionals this weekend, earning their spots at States!

Dana Martin wrestled tough against some very strong opponents and showed incredible grit throughout the tournament.

Leonora Orellana-Anton battled hard and secured a solid win at Regionals, continuing to prove her determination and growth.

These ladies have endured adversity all season long and continue to rise to every challenge. We are beyond proud of their resilience, heart, and relentless work ethic.

Next stop: Hershey this week — let’s go!!! ❤️🐝🖤

The Honesdale Girls Wrestling Team is heading to Regionals after an incredible weekend at Districts! 🐝💪🏼

Over the last two days, these girls worked relentlessly to punch their tickets — and they showed up when it mattered most!

👑 District Champions Saige Olver and Maddie Miller dominated their brackets, going undefeated and earning their titles!

🔥 Leonora Orellana-Anton powered her way to the finals with two straight pins, securing her spot at Regionals and finishing as District Runner-Up!

💥 Dana Martin battled hard all weekend and achieved her goal of moving on to Regionals!

🥉 Leah Klinkiewicz earned hardware for the Hornets with a 5th place finish in her bracket!

Shoutout to Isabel Whalen, Olivia Blundell, and Alexa Skelton for showing grit, heart, and determination every single match. Your effort does not go unnoticed!

Next stop ➡️ Regionals at Milton! We are so proud of this team and the work they continue to put in. Let’s keep it rolling, Lady Hornets! ❤️🐝🖤
