SWAG Alert!

Event Date: October 18, 2026

Don't Miss Out on The SWAG!

There's a few more weeks remaining to guarantee a cool shirt but there's a LIMITED number
of the awesome, coveted, heavy duty, insulated grocery totes! Register sooner than later to
ensure you're the envy of anyone who sees it! Our wonderful volunteers at packet pickup
get really disappointed when they have to explain to people that they registered too late to
get this prized possession.

What will the color be this year????

Seriously though- we're having fun planning a fantastic time for everyone while raising
money and awareness for Embrace Your Sisters!.

✨ Birdhouse Brewing Company and WoodsEdge Retreat are thrilled to announce the sixth annual Hopson Trail Run. This community event draws participants from across the region for an exciting day of outdoor exercise, music, food and great craft beer in a family atmosphere all while bringing awareness and raising funds for charity. Last year the Hopson Trail Runs hosted over 600 participants and raised $20,000 for Thrive To Survive and over $1000 for the Richmond Fire Department. To date, the Hopson Trail Runs has had over a $92,000 impact on our local community!

We know that with your support we can surpass last year’s numbers and continue making a positive impact. This year we are excited to announce the Hopson Trail Runs beneficiary will be Embrace Your Sisters. Embrace Your Sisters is a non-profit organization providing financial support to people with breast cancer in the Finger Lakes Region.

We are continuing to partner with local 501(c)(3), Greater Richmond Area Charity Events (G.R.A.C.E.). We have formed a dba under G.R.A.C.E., “Hopson 5K”. By partnering with G.R.A.C.E., Hopson 5k is able to ensure that your donation will be a tax-deductible contribution.

Please make all tax deductible donations out to Hopson 5k.

Thank you for your interest in participating in the sixth annual Hopson Trail Runs hosted by Birdhouse Brewing Company and WoodsEdge Retreat. We look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely yours,

Cheers to Philippe Faraut for crafting beauty and hope as a Tasting Sponsor! 🍺 We’re grateful for your support of Thrive to Survive.

🗿 Sculptor Philippe Faraut received his original degree in woodcarving and the construction of French fine furniture from Germain Sommeillier in Annecy, France, his boyhood home. After establishing residence in the Chesapeake Bay area of Virginia, he developed an interest in modeling the head in clay. An avid traveler, Philippe's destinations have allowed him the opportunity to study the cultures of many countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Caribbean, thus influencing his work in portraiture. In 1996 he relocated with his wife to the Finger Lakes Region of New York State.

Philippe has created numerous original works ranging from six-inch porcelain figurines to over life-sized monuments in both stone and bronze and has exhibited his sculptures in various galleries and national and international competitions.

For over twenty-five years, Philippe has traveled throughout the US and abroad to teach sculptors and aspiring sculptors how to render portraits and figures in clay at private studios and institutions including the Grand Central Academy in New York, Ringling School of Art in Florida and Pixar in California. In addition, he has studied forensic facial reconstruction and anaplastology and lectures at universities and medical conventions in the US and Europe on expressions and the aging process of the face. Together with his wife Charisse, the couple has made Philippe's techniques available to students and instructors in the form of a book series and numerous videos. Between projects, Philippe conducts seminars on portraiture and figure sculpting at his Honeoye, New York studio."

Thank you for filling our community with fragrance and love as a Tasting Sponsor! 🌿 Your support makes an impact. 💜

"After moving to Honeoye, NY, we decided to start a lavender farm. We have expanded by creating lavender products, maple syruping, and beekeeping. Often people ask why our farm is named Aurora Lavender Farm. Our answer: we volunteer for a national French bulldog rescue group (French Bulldog Rescue Network). Our farm is named in memory of one of our French bulldogs, Aurora. Being paralyzed, she spent her life in a wheelchair cart, but that didn’t stop her from enjoying life to the fullest. Aurora met every day with energy, determination, and love. We approach our farm with the same principles. We strive to constantly improve our all-natural products through education and passion to share their experience and benefits with our customers."
