Believe it or not, we are already planning next year's BIL season! We are in need of volunteers for the following:

-Registration support
-Team Formation
-Coaches and Ref recruitment and communication
-Someone to coordinate a CPR/First-Aid certified person at each meeting/game

HF-L BIL is in need of coaches for the 3/4 boys and 7/8 co-ed.

The 9-12 division needs a couple of volunteers to supervise their games.

We are in need of Refs for all games!

Attention :

We are in need of coaches and/or assistant coaches for the:

-3-4 co-ed group
-3-4 girl's group
-5-6 co-ed group
-7-8 co-ed group
-9-12 co-ed group (supervision, not necessarily coaches)

We also need referees for the games. Referees are compensated for their time; coaches are volunteers :).

New for 2026:

1. New registration deadlines:
- Early Bird pricing ($50) - November 21
- Regular pricing ($60) - December 5

2. Registration process:
- First, you must register online with HFL Community Programs
- Once you register and pay, you will receive a link to fill out the electronic form that will provide the information necessary to form teams and schedules.
- If you need financial assistance, please email [email protected]

3. All-Girls League:
- If we have enough registrants, we will form an all-girls league. Last year we had some misunderstanding about the all-girls team and so this year we will be forming an all-girls league so girls can play against each other. BIL follows NYS's athletics guidelines that students participate on the sport's team that is consistent with their gender identity so please note that on your registration form.

4. We are in need of:
- Coaches
- Assistant Coaches
- Referees
- Someone to help with Social Media/Advertising
- Scheduling of games
- Contact for each grade level
- Referee Coordinator
- Coach Coordinator

Come One, Come All! Basketball Instruction League registration is open now!

HFL BIL is a recreational basketball league with a focus is on learning the basics while having fun and getting exercise with a bunch of friends. Leagues are available for 3rd/4th grade, 5th/6th grade, 7th/8th grade and 9-12th grade. All games are played locally at one of the four HF-L school gyms (Lima Primary, Manor, the Middle school, or the High school). Games or practices are approximately once a week on week nights, and are typically scheduled throughout January, February, and March. Our program is sponsored by HFL Community Programs. Those looking for an advanced basketball experience with multiple practices/week will want to explore various travel league options. Everyone else should give BIL a try!

This is a great way to get the kids out and with friends during the winter months!
