Saturday Aug. 1st, state championship lanes & Race information!

Opening ceremony starts at 7:15 AM and the first race starts promptly at 8 AM! Ocean Paddler TV will be broadcasting live!

Look for the Keōua tent if you’re at Keehi Lagoon. we have 16 races that day representing our Club and South Kona. We will be sharing a tent space with. Waikoloa cc.

Congratulations to everyone on an incredible and historic regatta season for Keōua Hōnaunau Canoe Club! ❤️💛

We are incredibly proud and humbled to share that Keōua finished the 2026 Moku O Hawaiʻi regatta season undefeated in the AA Division! What an amazing accomplishment and a true reflection of the dedication, hard work, and heart of our entire club/Ohana.

This year, 16 Keōua crews earned their place at the HCRA State Championships by consistently racing against some of the toughest competition in Hawaiʻi and securing one of the top three qualifying seeds throughout the season. They will represent Keōua on August 1, 2026, at Keehi Lagoon on Oʻahu, competing against the best crews from across the state.

A special congratulations to our 10 Girls and 40s Mixed crews for completing the regatta season undefeated! 👏🏽❤️💛

Mahalo to every paddler who committed countless hours to training, every coach who poured their time, knowledge, love, and passion into this club, our parents, partners, volunteers, sponsors, board members, support crew, and our entire community. This season would not have been possible without every one of you. Coaching is truly a labor of love, and we are so grateful for each and every coach—from our keiki to our adults.

Now it’s on to the State Championships… and then it’s time for long-distance season! 🌊🚣‍♀️

❤️💛 Mahalo Hoemana Canoe Club for an unforgettable start to the 2026 Moku O Hawaii racing season! The Kai Kukini Long Distance race was a true test of strength and skill under the sun and ocean breeze, featuring over 70 crews! Huge congrats to all the competitors! Keōua's 9 crews crushed it in their divisions - 8 brought home medals and our 9th crew was just a whisper away from the podium! We can't wait to see what the season holds! Aloha Kākou! We need your helping hands! This year’s canoe weigh-in is on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 10 AM at the halau. We'll need to unrig, weigh, and rig again, so let's work together to get it done. It's also a fantastic time to learn how to rig a canoe. Looking forward to seeing you there! ❤️💛 ❤️💛

Join us in celebrating the life of a dear friend, Keōua paddler and children’s rights advocate Tim Sperry! We will be scattering his ashes in our beloved Hōnaunau Bay on Sunday, March 22nd.

We are excited to announce that we have an amazing new youth coaching team this season! Youth ages are 8 to 18 • they will practice 3:30 PM to 5 PM on Mondays and Thursdays! Let’s go work hard and have some fun and win some races!!

UPDATE! It’s official! Regattas in Kona are back!!! Finally!! MAHALO to everyone who has been involved in this lengthy process to bring regattas back to Kailua bay! A special thank you to who generously donated his time and engineering skills, Along with and the 3 Kailua-Kona clubs who have also donated and fundraised along with other (anonymous) donors to make this happen. And Mahalo nui to everyone we may have missed naming. Regattas are officially approved by MOKU & are highlighted in yellow on this 2026 race schedule.
