We still have kayaks available for Sunday, but they will book up fast - so be sure to make a reservation! If Dad is an active guy and nature lover and you're still looking for a fun activity for the day, kayaking could be the perfect gift!

Be sure to book a launch time before 10:00 if you want to beat peak heat and crowds!! ☀️

Same log, different residents hanging out 🐢

I often wonder what dialogue is going on between animals, and it's pretty fun to imagine too.

I like to think these turtles here were judging the song choices of the boats blasting their music that pass by on a busy weekend day 🤣

They're just trying to peacefully bask bro ☀️

We had a busy morning getting our first rental groups out for the day! 🌴 We have our large tandems returning by 2:00 and we have a handful of singles still available this morning if anyone is trying to get out on the water today! Time for the Wednesday Weekly Weather Update!

A magnificent morning today, beautiful blue skies and lightly cloudy. The high right now is starting to get a bit warmer, with a RealFeel at the moment of 96 degrees. Slight chance of some small thunderstorms around 3:00.

For the rest of the week, we’re going to be looking at much of the same - slightly cloudy mornings with high humidity and small chance of thunderstorms around 2-3:00 through Sunday.

Kayaking is still a great adventure on these days!! Remember earlier in the day the better, bring bug spray, plenty of water, and I like bringing a cool cloth to keep around my neck if it’s getting hot!!

Some of you may remember the picture I posted last week of the male Wood Duck - well him and his lady have some ducklings now!! 🥹❤️

The world is a very hard place for ducklings, I was happy to see her with 2 still at least. Everyone send her and her little family good vibes and well wishes for safety and abundance as these ducklings grow! 🙏

These fluffy little babies definitely might be the cutest property residents right now.

Happy Sunday everyone!!

We’ve had a beautiful weekend here at River Adventure Park and next week’s weather is looking pretty beautiful as well!! As usual the kayak ramp and rentals will be closed tomorrow, and we have been closed Thursdays as well for now.

We look forward to seeing everyone next week!

Take 2 minutes from scrolling and enjoy watching this dolphin taking a quick tour through our canal - most likely looking for some blue crabs and fish 🦀🐟

We often see dolphins around Homosassa looking through the mud and corralling fish in the canals and against the sides of the river. Using their agility and their tails to create powerful waves that can stun the fish, dolphins may be cute to us - but they can definitely be considered an apex predator in the animal world.

The wildlife and wonders of nature never get old ❤️☀️

A male Wood Duck perched up in a tree at the end of our canal ☀️ I often see him with a female hanging out around here and flying up into their tree together.

When kayaking and exploring the Homosassa or Halls River, you can see a lot of these ducks as well as anhingas, cormorants, herons, kingfishers, eagles, osprey, swallow-tailed kites, pelicans, ibis, vultures, and more!
